Kuala Lumpur: The official draw for the AFC U-22 Asian Cup Qualifiers took place at AFC House on Tuesday.

Kuala Lumpur: Persipura Jayapura of Indonesia will meet Australia’s Adelaide United FC in an AFC Champions League (ACL) 2012 playoff match on 16 February 2012 at the Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide.

The participation of Persipura Jayapura in the ACL 2012 was confirmed after the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) decided to provisionally reinstate Persipura in the ACL 2012.

Meanwhile, the AFC Competitions Committee has decided that the loser of the match between Adelaide United and Persipura will not proceed to the AFC Cup 2012 and the winner shall qualify to play in Group E of the ACL 2012.

The match will kick off at 1930 hours local time.

Three other ACL playoff matches will be played on 18 February 2012.

Kuala Lumpur: AFC Acting President Zhang Jilong has reiterated the importance of a favourable reconsideration of the headscarf rule by the International Football Association Board (IFAB), which meets on March 3 in London.
